Located 11km from Jaipur is Amber Fort, the erstwhile capital of Jaipur state. The massive fort is located atop the Aravali Hills and provide a panoramic view of the city beneath. There are many temples, a museum and other attractions located inside the Amber Fort.
The logo of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal is an architect’s masterpiece. The five story building is created in shape of a beehive or crown. It gets its name from the fact that the 953 windows let cool breeze spread inside the monument.
Located behind the Hawa Mahal, JantarMantar is a solar observatory constructed by Sawai Man Singh, the ruler of Jaipur. It is a home to the largest astronomical instrument in the world, known as Sun Dial.
